With a love for creating timeless, elegant wedding cakes that not only look incredible but taste sensational too.
My passion for baking started at a young age and I can vividly remember regularly baking with my Nanna growing up and learning sugar craft skills from a family friend. Having made cakes for family and friends over the years, I became enthralled with learning different techniques and experimenting with different designs, mediums, textures and skills.
After starting a family, I challenged myself to create show stopping cakes for their birthdays, and I knew that I wanted to develop and invest in my skills.
So, in 2019 It seemed like a natural progression to start baking professionally and Lolli & Bean was established. In choosing a name for my business I wanted it to be something unique and personal to myself.
I have two very cheeky daughters, who’s nicknames at the time were Lolli (Olivia) and Bean (Georgia), and one day it struck me as the perfect name for my new venture.
Having created many elaborate celebration cakes early on, I quickly developed a love for creating romantic designs and decided that I wanted to focus my skills on creating elegant wedding cakes.
This then prompted me to design competition pieces, for which I have won numerous awards along with editorial features in, Your West Midlands Wedding, Cake Masters, Belle Bridal Magazine, Wedding Chicks and Todays Luxury Weddings.
After choosing Lolli & Bean to do a few birthday cakes for us, we knew as soon as we started wedding planning, we needed Nikki to design our wedding cake!
We asked for a rustic, boho three-tiered cake to match our country themed wedding. The colours of the cake matched our scheme perfectly and even more importantly the cake tasted absolutely gorgeous! Nothing was ever too much for Nikki, even when we were designing the cake. She goes above and beyond for everything and you can’t ask for more than that! Thank you, Lolli & Bean
